Sofia Fanego

"Sofia is a multidisciplinary artist, born in San Pedro, Buenos Aires, Argentina. 

After studying cinema she was travelling around the world working in the fashion industry. Currently she is living and working in France. Her laboratory and atelier take place in the middle of nature, Normandie. She explores different techniques like artcollage, analogue portrait series, sculptures, and at the same time she is developing her studies in botanical and landscaping.

In the last few years, she showed her works in Buenos Aires, Uruguay, Sao Paulo, Barcelona, she is preparing a show in Tokyo at the end of the year, while she did interviews for Vogue.it, Marie Claire, Madame Figaro, L'officiel, Elle Japan...

At the moment she is producing a serie of books with a japanese artist called MONO and POBLADOS is another book in collaboration with an argentinian artist, where acting and performance is another way to express herself.

Curiosity and dedication lead Sofia to explore its way as an artist at different levels from pure sincerity."  - B.P.
